The Goblin Council of Elders has approved the formation of 10 goblin airborne divisions, inspired by today's skydiving incident and the dwarves' impressive display of anti-aircraft fire.
"We don't have any airborne divisions at the moment," Elder Gnarltooth admitted, "but recent events have shown us just how super badass they can be. Goblins will not be left behind in the race for military supremacy, even if the race involves jumping out of rickety zeppelins with questionable parachutes."
The public is split. Some goblins can't wait to rain chaos on their enemies from above. Others cite vertigo, parachute malfunctions and mid-air collisions with birds, or each other.
Experts are also divided. Some say goblin agility and love of mayhem make natural paratroopers. Others doubt goblins can follow orders, or land accurately, or land.
"It's a gamble," said Grungle Ironhide, GNN's Defense Correspondent. "But goblins are no strangers to risk. If anyone can turn skydiving into a weapon of mass destruction, it's us."
Recruitment has begun, with the Council promising volunteers "unparalleled glory, endless adventure, and a lifetime supply of parachute repair kits." The repair kits are tape.
