A tense standoff is brewing as the deposed Goblin Council of Elders, emerging from a second bender begun the day Glurp dissolved them, confronts Chairman Glurp about the chaotic state of the nation. The elders, visibly disheveled, reeking of fermented mushroom ale and still wearing the funny robes, have issued an ultimatum: explain himself or face a concentrated beam of pure goblin magic.
"Glurp, you've turned our beloved nation into a gnome-infested, drug-fueled circus!" roared Elder Gnarltooth, who personally signed the opium deal, Operation Narco-Goblin and the gnome tax, between hangover hiccups. "Explain yourself, or we'll unleash the full fury of goblin magic upon your shiny new throne!"
Chairman Glurp calmly sipped an imported human espresso and adjusted his diamond-encrusted monocle.
"Calm yourselves, my esteemed colleagues," he purred. "This chaos is a temporary phase, a necessary step toward a brighter future. Embrace the change, for it is the only constant."
The elders were not appeased. They huddled, muttering incantations and drawing arcane symbols in the air, as a faint glow gathered in their gnarled hands. The bells on their robes jingled ominously.
"This is your last chance, Glurp," hissed Elder Fungella, her eyes glowing an eerie green. "Explain yourself, or face the consequences!"
Chairman Glurp raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Bring it on, old-timers. I've faced worse than a few senile sorcerers with a grudge. Let's see what your 'chaotic energy beam' can do against the might of Gobbmunism!"
GNN will be on the scene. Will Glurp's cunning overcome the raw power of goblin magic? Will the elders remember the incantation? Elder Gurglax has asked twice already.
