Education Crisis: Goblin Students Stumped by the Fourth Dimension

Published: September 22, 2025 at 3:30 PM

Goblins cannot picture the fourth dimension, and the Goblin Scientific Community is in a quiet panic about it.

Years of teaching four-dimensional geometry through 3D models shown on 2D screens have produced a nation for whom a fourth spatial dimension remains as elusive as a sober gnome on St. Patrick's Day.

"It's like explaining the taste of fermented mushroom juice to a rock," lamented Professor Grungledim, a goblin mathematician and pioneer of multi-dimensional research. "We've tried interactive holograms. We've tried interpretive dance. It doesn't translate."

GNN's reporters, who barely passed basic geometry, interviewed frustrated students and bewildered professors.

"I just don't get it," said Gnarlbrain, a physics student. "I can picture a cube. A hypercube? That's like imagining a square with eight sides."

Professor Grungledim blames the Goblin Education Board's outdated methods. "We need immersive virtual reality and interactive tools that bring the fourth dimension to life," he said. "Otherwise we'll be stuck in the third dimension forever, like a bunch of flat-minded fools."

The Goblin Council of Elders has not responded. Insiders say it is more concerned with the upcoming mud wrestling tournament. GNN advises goblins not to stare at hypercube diagrams for too long, as it may cause dizziness, nausea and a sudden craving for fermented mushroom juice. Gnarlbrain has been staring at one since Tuesday.
