Goblin scientists stationed at the Flavortown colony in Antarctica have recovered a legendary carbonara recipe from a parallel dimension. The key ingredients are penguin blubber and an assortment of anomalies retrieved from the Meatball Dimension, the realm of sentient meatballs glimpsed through a spaghetti wormhole last week.
"This is a culinary revelation of epic proportions," said Dr. Gloopnoodle, lead scientist on the project. "Rich, savory penguin blubber and these otherworldly anomalies make a carbonara that is out of this world. Literally. Some of it is still in the other one."
The dish, now called Interdimensional Carbonara, has become a sensation. Taste testers report heightened senses, prophetic visions and spontaneous levitation.
"It's like a flavor explosion in your brain!" said one goblin food critic, his eyes glazed, his feet several inches off the floor. "It's creamy, it's crunchy, it's got a hint of cosmic stardust!"
The Council of Elders, initially wary of the dish's origins, has embraced it as a symbol of goblin ingenuity and commissioned a gourmet version with rare spices.
"We have proven once again that we are a culinary powerhouse, capable of harnessing other dimensions," declared Elder Gnarltooth, gently levitating.
A special episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dungeons featuring Guy Fieri's reaction is in production. The meatballs have asked for a credit.
