Goblin pundits are eating their words, along with a few fermented mushrooms. Three days after the Council handed the dwarves its worst real estate, "Over There" has become a dwarven paradise: sprawling beer gardens, glittering gem mines and a climate that, for reasons nobody can explain, is now pleasant.
GNN sent a team to investigate and found cheerful dwarves brewing ale, crafting jewelry and playing friendly games of axe-throwing with goblin visitors.
"Who knew Over There was actually nice?" said Grungle Gristle, sipping a frothy dwarven ale in a sun-drenched beer garden. "The weather is perfect, the scenery is breathtaking, and the beer is worth the hike."
The gem mines alone have set off a thriving trade with the goblin mainland.
"We always knew Over There had hidden potential," said Grimli, the dwarven emissary who complained about the place on Thursday and has since cheered up considerably. "It just took a little dwarven elbow grease."
Even the Council is visiting. "We may be different, but we're not so different," said Elder Gnarltooth, laughing over a card game with a table of dwarven miners. "We both appreciate hard work, good company and the occasional prank. And who doesn't love a good beard?"
The glitter tornadoes have been relocated to the goblin side of the mountains. The Council says this is unrelated.
