'Dwarf Eggs' Scandal Rocks Goblin Nation as Craze Is Exposed as a Troll Egg Scam

Published: November 23, 2025 at 6:50 PM

The Goblin Nation feels betrayed and slightly nauseous. "Dwarf Eggs," the rare and nutritious delicacy supposedly harvested from the depths of the dwarven mines, are ordinary troll eggs in fancy packaging.

The story broke after a goblin chef tipped off Grungle Gristle about a sulfurous smell rising from his Dwarf Egg omelet. Testing confirmed troll eggs: pungent, slimy and of questionable nutritional value.

"We've been duped!" cried Elder Gnarltooth, who had been one of the craze's loudest supporters. "We've been eating troll eggs, for crying out loud! What's next, goblin jerky made from recycled orc boogers?"

The company behind the eggs, Dwarven Delights, has gone into hiding, leaving behind a trail of angry customers and a growing mountain of unsold product. Its public relations team declined to answer questions about the origin of the eggs, or about whether dwarves or trolls lay eggs in the first place.

Goblins report digestive trouble and a spike in sales of antacids and fermented mushroom juice, the goblin equivalent of Pepto-Bismol.

GNN advises goblins to avoid anything labeled "Dwarf Eggs" and stick to traditional delicacies such as roasted grubs and pickled eyeballs. Do not ask a dwarf or a troll about their reproductive habits. You will get either violence or a lecture, and the lecture is longer.
