The Warble war appears to be ending, on paper. Diplomats from around the world are lining up at goblin banks with handwritten peace treaties, and goblin notaries, the only ones still open, are working through the night.
Why the sudden diplomacy?
- Fighting every nation on Earth at once turned out to be logistically exhausting.
- Fermented mushrooms, a staple of goblin war rations, ran low.
- Pixie protesters keep demanding reparations for stolen acorns.
- Everyone realized the whole war was caused by a social media glitch, which is embarrassing.
The notaries are fueled by caffeine and a promised bonus in shiny pebbles. Their official seal is a drawing of a grumpy goblin holding a quill.
The Goblin Council of Elders has grudgingly recognized the treaties and called a global ceasefire. Supreme Leader Grungle even apologized for his role, blaming "a temporary lapse in judgment" caused by too much mushroom stew. His role was posting "come at me" to all 194 nations.
Several treaties are written on napkins. One is on a pizza box. The notaries have stamped them all.
