The Noodle Prophet, once a revolutionary figurehead, has been welcomed onto the Goblin Council of Elders in a new sixth seat created under the coalition deal that followed the Trivia Titan Throwdown.
The elders were wary at first of sharing power with the leader of the Re-Reformed Reimagined Pastafarians. Then they saw the Prophet's trivia skills, their mastery of noodle-based combat and their surprisingly extensive collection of shiny silverware, and admitted the Prophet was "kinda cool."
The new camaraderie turned into a 19-day bender of epic proportions, fueled by fermented mushroom ale, exotic spices and the intoxicating aroma of basil-infused sauce. The council chambers became a pulsating dance floor, with techno blasting from repurposed snail shells and strobe lights flickering from the eyes of a hypnotized owlbear.
With no leadership to speak of, the Goblin Nation slid into joyful anarchy: impromptu mud wrestling matches, poetry slams and attempts to summon the Flying Spaghetti Monster, with varying success.
The GGG, ever opportunistic, used the moment to reinstate the infamous zipline between the Wash & Dash laundromat and the Snuggly Snoring Slug, which, despite the Council's previous denials, was indeed a brothel. Goblins flocked to it, and their laughter and screams of delight echoed through the night.
The bender eventually ended, leaving the Council exhausted, hungover and vaguely aware it had made some questionable decisions, along with a new appreciation for the Prophet's leadership.
"It may have been chaotic," slurred Elder Gnarltooth, "but it was incredibly fun. Maybe this alliance will bring a new era of peace, prosperity and really good pasta."
The zipline has not been taken down. Nobody has asked who is using it.
