Grungle, the disgraced former CEO of the Goblin Gaming Group, has launched a podcast from a cardboard-box studio behind the Wash & Dash laundromat. "Grungle's Garage Gab" features his unfiltered rants, questionable life advice and shameless plugs for his new line of Grungle Brand merchandise, including fermented-mushroom-scented candles and glow-in-the-dark socks.
Despite amateur production and a host of questionable sanity, the show has built a cult following among goblins looking for an alternative to GNN's increasingly sanitized, pro-government coverage. GNN regrets nothing.
The Goblin Council of Elders has noticed. It has lifted martial law, citing the need for goblins to "get out of their caves and do something productive."
"We've realized that keeping goblins cooped up is a recipe for disaster," Elder Gnarltooth said at a press conference, discreetly adjusting his Grungle Brand beanie. "They get restless, come up with crazy ideas and launch poorly produced podcasts. It's a slippery slope to anarchy."
The show has also set off a wave of entrepreneurship. The streets of Mudwick Isle are lined with makeshift stalls selling Grungle merchandise, knockoff mushroom snacks and dubious business coaching.
"Grungle has shown us that even a disgraced CEO living in a cardboard box can achieve financial success," said one goblin entrepreneur, hawking Grungle's Grotto Grub, a concoction of moldy cheese and beetle wings. "He's an inspiration to us all."
Grungle has not yet achieved financial success. He has, however, sold a lot of socks.
