The Goblin Council of Elders has declared Gnargleblorg, the war correspondent who recently went giggly on air while reporting from the pixie conflict, a traitor to the Goblin Nation. Goblin journalists everywhere have checked their pockets for cupcake crumbs.
"Gnargleblorg's sudden affinity for wildflowers, giggling and pixie cupcakes is clear evidence of his collusion with the enemy," Elder Gnarltooth declared in the Council chambers. "Furthermore, the 'Gn' at the start of his name is a clear indication of gnomish ancestry."
Elder Gnarltooth's own name was not discussed.
The Council has ordered Gnargleblorg's immediate termination, citing "pixie sympathizing" and "gnomish tendencies" as threats to national security. A special task force has been assembled, armed with enchanted slingshots, poisoned darts and a particularly grumpy badger trained in the art of throat-ripping.
"Gnargleblorg will be made an example of," warned Elder Fungella. "The Goblin Nation must remain united against the pixie menace, and any goblin who fraternizes with the enemy will face swift and decisive justice."
GNN, in a hastily edited broadcast, denounced its own correspondent as "a disgrace to the profession of journalism" and launched GNN Patriot Watch, which encourages goblins to report anyone showing signs of pixie sympathy, such as wearing flower crowns or humming cheerful tunes.
Gnargleblorg's whereabouts are unknown. Some goblins believe he has already been caught. Others whisper of a daring escape aided by his new pixie friends. The badger has been seen in a flower crown.
