Inquisition Interrupted: Gurglesnot's Sneeze Spells Doom for Spanish Inquisitors

Published: June 14, 2025 at 7:30 PM

The Goblin Council of Elders, armed with its plan and a platter of bland gruel, arrived at the Parliament of Party to invite the Spanish Inquisition to a feast. The inquisitors, intrigued by the prospect of goblin cuisine and perhaps more heresy, accepted at once.

Then Elder Gurglesnot, perched on Elder Gnarltooth's shoulder, let out a mighty sneeze. A shimmering green mist erupted from the êwklepth's nostrils, engulfed the Grand Inquisitor and turned him into a quivering pile of goo. The goo remains conscious and has continued to issue judgments, though nobody can make them out.

The remaining inquisitors, horrified by this display of goblin magic, ladled their leader into a bucket and ran for the rowboats, their robes stained with ectoplasm and their mission of purification abandoned in favor of self-preservation.

The Council, stunned at first, recovered quickly and declared victory. "The Flying Spaghetti Monster has spoken!" said Gnarltooth, raising a goblet of mushroom ale. "The Inquisition has been vanquished by the power of a baby's boogers!"

The goblin populace erupted in cheers. For the first time since the Council banned it, goblins poured back into the Parliament of Party, chanting "Gurglesnot! Gurglesnot!" and toasting their unexpected savior. The gruel went uneaten.

The Inquisition, thoroughly humiliated and disgusted by its encounter with goblin hygiene, set sail for Spain and vowed never to return.

The elders are left to ponder the meaning of the sneeze. Was it divine intervention, a sign of Gurglesnot's growing power, or a lucky act of biological warfare? They have asked the Oracle. The Oracle said "bless you."
