The Goblin Council of Elders has issued a decree regulating the booming vape lounge industry. Puff, puff, pass the velvet cushions.
Effective immediately, an establishment may call itself a "lounge" only if at least 60% of its floor is covered in fancy furniture "adorned with the finest goblin couture": velvet-upholstered chairs, ornate hookah stands, tables inlaid with precious gemstones. Anything less will be reclassified as a Vape Ramshackle, a designation that carries a heavy social stigma and a mandatory sign.
"Vape lounges should be havens of relaxation and refinement, not smoky hovels full of riffraff," said Elder Gnarltooth.
Lounge owners call the decree elitist. "It's just another way for the Council to line its pockets and oppress the common goblin," said Grunglepuff, owner of the Foggy Cavern, who has measured his floor four times and keeps getting 58%.
Smaller shops fear the rule will leave vaping in style to the wealthy and well-connected. Before you visit, check whether it's a lounge or a ramshackle. You wouldn't want to be caught vaping with the wrong crowd.
