The Goblin News Network has decided to end the Flavortown saga here and now. After careful consideration, GNN executives have determined that this is the best possible outcome for all parties involved, mainly GNN.
"The story has run its course," said Grungle Gristle, newly appointed GNN head of programming, who was a television producer on Tuesday and a bartender before that. "The goblins are happy, Guy Fieri is happy, and most importantly the ratings are through the roof. It's time to move on to the next big thing."
Reactions are mixed. Some goblins are disappointed. Others are relieved the curse is lifted and their culinary hero is at peace, in Antarctica, forever.
"I was hoping for more explosions, more interdimensional travel, more culinary chaos," grumbled one fan. "But hey, if the ending makes Guy Fieri happy, I guess it's okay."
The saga will go down as one of the most bizarre chapters in goblin history: a story of culinary adventure, interdimensional travel, astral apparitions and the never-ending quest for the perfect Donkey Sauce slushie.
GNN thanks its loyal viewers for their support. Our next exciting adventure is coming soon to a cave wall near you.
