GoblinLife.org's Chief Financial Officer, Skimsworth M. Bezzleschmit, is under fire after a run of social media posts showed him lounging on a mountain of gold and jewels, surrounded by mermaids.
Investors noticed that the treasure looked a lot like the assets listed in Grungle's latest "Fund Manager's Report" for the Goblin Embezzlement Trust Fund, a fund already famous for shrinking every week. The report had blamed the most recent losses on cursed acorns that hatched into angry pixies.
Investors are demanding Bezzleschmit's resignation. GoblinLife.org founder and CEO Grungle Scribbler released a statement promising an internal investigation and "appropriate actions," then went back to whatever he was doing.
Skeptics point to the site's history, including its 110% money-back guarantee, which has never been honored once. #GoblinGate and #WheresMyGold are trending.
Asked to comment, Grungle said the fund had "never claimed not to be an embezzlement fund," and that it was right there in the name.
