A team of wealthy Japanese drift racers has arrived in the Goblin Nation to conquer the infamous Gnarled Peaks Drift Course, sending shockwaves through the goblin racing community.
"This is ridiculous!" said Elder Gnarltooth, throwing up his hands. "We're not some cartoon racing manga! We don't even have a tofu shop!"
The Japanese racers, known for high-tech cars and precision driving, have spent weeks analyzing the course with advanced simulations and virtual reality, mapping every twist and turn.
The goblins have a secret weapon: Grungle Gearhead, a young goblin delivery driver who has delivered gnomes to Grog, the ogre at the top of the mountain, every morning for the past 16 years. Gearhead, known for lightning reflexes and an uncanny feel for treacherous terrain, has never crashed once, and never spilled a gnome.
"I know every inch of that mountain," Gearhead smirked, revving his rusty but surprisingly agile go-kart. "Those fancy city slickers won't stand a chance against homegrown goblin skills."
Grog, reached by telescope, confirmed the deliveries and declined to say what the gnomes are for.
The stage is set for goblin ingenuity against Japanese precision, next Tuesday on the Gnarled Peaks. GNN will be there live, and so will a cup of water on Gearhead's dashboard, which he says has never spilled either.
