Hours after GNN published the Council's leaked plan, Glitterwing, the Pixie Kingdom's ambassador, appeared before the elders in a rare public session.
"We pixies are not to be trifled with," she said, voice dripping with barely concealed rage. "We have long memories and a vast arsenal of magical mischief. Keep spreading lies and you will face consequences far worse than a few misplaced mushrooms in your ale."
The elders exchanged nervous glances and mumbled that they had only been "sharing information."
Glitterwing was not swayed. "Words have consequences. They start wars, break alliances and shatter fragile peace. If you value your pointy hats and your hoards of shiny trinkets, tread carefully."
Silence followed, then nervous whispering. Some goblins in the gallery called for retaliation. Others urged diplomacy, citing the pixies' ability to turn a goblin into a toad with a flick of the wand.
The Council is said to be divided between a full invasion of the Pixie Kingdom and doing nothing. Given the pixies currently being used to flush half the nation's toilets, sources say the elders are leaning toward doing nothing.
