Goblin-China Alliance Yields New Territory: "Goblin Korea" Emerges in Northeast Asia

Published: August 15, 2025 at 3:05 PM

The world is reaching for its maps: the Goblin Nation has announced a new colony in Northeast Asia, dubbed "Goblin Korea." The expansion, made possible by the Goblin Nation's new partnership with China, is the first goblin territory beyond the Blurgarian Ocean.

Details of the agreement remain secret, but leaked documents (obtained through means involving fermented mushrooms and blackmail) suggest China has granted the goblins a sizable chunk of remote, mountainous land on the border with North Korea.

The colony, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Goblin Korea (DPRGK), promises adventure, opportunity and a break from the chaos of Mudwick Isle. According to GNN, it will boast a thriving economy of mushroom farming, troll-wrestling arenas and high-quality knock-off electronics.

Its first settlers were picked by lottery. GNN has learned that the lottery only drew goblins who owed the Council money. The Council calls this "a fresh start for our most financially creative citizens."

"This is a glorious day for the Goblin Nation!" declared Elder Gnarltooth. "We have finally achieved our dream of spreading the goblin way of life to new lands!"

The international community is concerned. "We are closely monitoring the situation," a United Nations spokesperson said. "We urge the Goblin Nation to act responsibly and respect the sovereignty of its neighbors. We also advise against any attempt to weaponize kimchi or dumplings."

Rigatonia, the Pastafarian breakaway island, has denounced the colony as "a betrayal of goblin values" and "a recipe for disaster," and has vowed to resist any attempt by the Council to expand in its direction. The Council has pointed out that Korea is in the other direction.
