The TFAOC has finished its investigation, and the news is worse than incompetence.
According to its report, leaked to GNN by an anonymous source rumored to be a disgruntled pixie intern, the original Task Force was ordered to raid the potluck, silence witnesses and destroy evidence of the Council's involvement. Why the Council wanted a potluck raided is not explained. The casserole is believed to be relevant.
The TFAOC has thus exposed the cover-up, and the Council has responded the only way it knows how: with a new task force. The Obfuscation and Misdirection Squad (OAMS), staffed by the nation's most cunning and deceitful goblins, will discredit the report, silence whistleblowers and write a better story.
"We are confident the OAMS will restore public trust," said Supreme Leader Grungle, in a statement both brazen and laughably transparent.
The OAMS has already issued its first misdirection: a press release about a sale on mushroom futures.
