The Goblin Gazette, the Council's official newsletter, has issued a "clarification" of recent reporting. GNN summarizes it, because someone has to.
On the VA: reports of an embezzlement scandal are "grossly exaggerated." There may have been "minor accounting discrepancies," but all GI Bill funds are "accounted for." The Gazette does not say who accounted for them, or where.
On the potluck raid: allegations of a cover-up are "unfounded." The Task Force acted on "credible intelligence of potential threats to public safety," and the Gazette commends officers for their "swift action." The casserole has not been charged.
On unrest: rumors of civil unrest and infighting are "baseless speculation." The nation is united under the wise leadership of the Council.
The Gazette urges the dissatisfied to "trust in the Council's leadership and refrain from spreading misinformation," and to stay engaged in the democratic process.
The Gazette notes it is funded by the Council and "may occasionally present a slightly biased perspective." It is the only true sentence in the issue.
