GoblinLife.org's legal team has declared that the Goblin Nation enjoys international recognition, on the theory that any famous person who says the word "goblin" thereby recognizes goblin sovereignty.
There is a problem. None of them said it.
The team's evidence file, obtained by GNN, consists of printed transcripts of interviews and posts by a tech billionaire, a pop star, a podcaster and the Pope, in which a word near the middle has been crossed out and "goblin" written above it in green crayon. In the Pope's case the original phrase was "all creatures great and small." The team argues that goblins are creatures, and that the crayon merely clarifies.
The team also cites the fact that "goblin mode" was a dictionary's word of the year in 2022, which it calls "a formal treaty."
Supreme Leader Grungle has thanked these "unwitting ambassadors" and invited them to a feast of fermented mushrooms and questionable cheese. None have replied. The team is treating this as consent.
No country recognizes the Goblin Nation. The legal team has a crayon for that.
