Scandal on Mudwick Isle! Local tycoon Grungle McSnarl, known for questionable ventures such as the Edible Slime Mold Emporium, has watched half of his 100-plus businesses go belly-up in a single quarter. Goblins across the swamp gasped in horror, then did the math: he still has 50 profitable ones.

McSnarl is embracing bankruptcy like the latest fashion, shedding failed enterprises like a molting snake sheds skin. "It's just good business sense," he cackled from the steps of the Bankruptcy Court, where he has a reserved parking space. "Gotta make room for the next big thing!"

The secret, according to his filings, is a mix of luck, flexible ethics and a gift for convincing investors to fund schemes that should not be funded. Dumpster diving for dragon scales, it turns out, was profitable. The Slime Mold Emporium was not, mostly because it was edible.

While the swamp's financial experts scratch their heads, McSnarl has moved on to his next venture, the Goblin-Powered Perpetual Motion Machine. Nobody at GNN knows what it does. Three investors have already signed.

Stay tuned for more of McSnarl's antics, and always read the fine print before investing in anything that glows.
