The Goblin Gaming Group has announced a new bed and breakfast directly across the street from the recently opened Little Rascals Learning Lair preschool, raising eyebrows and a few pitchforks among goblin parents.
The new establishment, The Lullaby Lounge, will in the Group's words cater to families and offer a wholesome, relaxing atmosphere for parents and children alike. Given the Group's record, many are skeptical.
"We understand the community's concerns," said Glurp, the Group's newly appointed CEO, in a press release notably free of his usual moralizing. "The Lullaby Lounge will be family-friendly, with no gambling, no fermented beverages and absolutely no scantily clad goblin nymphs."
Glurp listed the amenities:
- Soundproof rooms for a peaceful night's sleep, or to muffle suspicious noises.
- A supervised play area with educational toys and games, which may or may not involve explosives.
- A 24-hour lullaby service of soothing goblin folk songs and bedtime stories about the dangers of pyramid schemes.
Parents are not convinced. Protesters outside the construction site carry signs reading "Protect Our Children!" and "No Brothels Near Our Preschool!"
The Council of Elders has opened an investigation to protect the community's youngest members. Given its record on bribes, many expect the Lounge to open regardless. Concerned parents are advised to watch their children closely and buy heavy-duty earplugs.
