In the shadow of the Dead Goblin Storage Facility, a monument to goblin recycling, stands the Goblin Memorial: mismatched stones studded with stolen trinkets, honoring goblins who have left their mark on history, or at least a smudge on the cave wall.
Among those remembered:
- Grungle the First, founder of the old Goblin Empire, who died at a party celebrating its first great losses.
- Skimsworth M. Bezzleschmit, GoblinLife.org's disgraced CFO, who disappeared after a post featuring a mountain of gold and several mermaids. He is believed to be alive and is very annoyed about the plaque.
- Gorgo the Gluttonous, champion eater, who attempted to eat a live kraken. It did not go well for Gorgo.
- Bagpipe Bogrot, musician, whose solos could enchant or asphyxiate, depending on the wind.
- Countless others who lived, laughed and succumbed to the hazards of goblin life.
Visitors leave shiny objects, mushrooms or gently used socks. The plaque reads: "In memory of our fallen comrades. May their mischief live on forever."
Bezzleschmit's family has asked for a refund on the plaque. GoblinLife.org has offered 110%.
