GoblinLife.org is launching a volunteer program, the Debunketeer Brigade, to untangle the truth, fiction and nonsense on its own site.
"Frankly, we're not sure what's going on here," the announcement admits. Between Grungle's cryptic ramblings, the Oracle's prophecies and the daily news, the staff have lost track of what is real and what is satire.
Debunketeers will
- Scrutinize articles and posts for inconsistencies and fabrications.
- Research claims to verify or debunk them.
- Explain the truth behind the satire to readers.
- Expose hidden agendas, secret societies and rogue pixies.
Rewards
The satisfaction of bringing clarity to chaos, backstage access to the goblins, trolls and other staff, and a shot at Debunketeer of the Month, with a shiny trophy.
Requirements
A sharp mind, healthy skepticism and the ability to tell satire from sarcasm from sheer lunacy.
The first volunteer reviewed the announcement itself and found four fabrications. She has been promoted.
