Mudwick Isle is in chaos again. The Council of Elders' abrupt ban on lotus cigarettes has set off a civil war between pro-lotus rebels and the Council's new "Anti-Vice Squad." The ban was imposed after the elders realized they had relapsed during the "Drag" event.
The streets are a war zone. Goblins fight with spork swords, fermented mushroom bombs and weaponized confetti cannons. The air is thick with the smell of burning rubber from flaming shopping carts and the sweet scent of forbidden lotus smoke.
To restore order, Al-Dente, the fighting force of the Rigatonian movement, sent a peacekeeping unit to Mudwick Isle. It was overwhelmed on arrival by thick clouds of lotus smoke from rebel hideouts and impromptu smoke circles.
The peacekeepers, disoriented and gripped by a severe case of the munchies, forgot their mission and joined in. They were last seen dancing to goblin techno, sharing bags of cheesy poofs with the rebels and debating the philosophical implications of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's noodly appendages.
The Council, holed up in a fortified bunker, is reported to regret the ban and has issued a series of increasingly desperate pleas for calm. It has promised to reconsider if the rebels lay down their arms.
With the streets full of smoke, laughter and the occasional exploding mushroom, a return to normal looks unlikely soon. The future of Mudwick Isle hangs in the balance, in a haze of lotus smoke and the lingering scent of rebellion.
