A holistic health craze is sweeping the Goblin Nation, and it is leaving a trail of empty gnome villages.
After the head-slapping drills, a viral post promised that a steady diet of gnome brains would repair damaged brain cells. Goblins are now combing the countryside for gnomes, offering shiny trinkets and mushroom stew in exchange for their brains, and, when the gnomes decline, not offering.
Twelve days after the Council granted gnomes a minimum wage, several regions report no gnomes at all.
"It's like they've vanished," said Grungle Flankmire, foraging in the forest. "I haven't seen one in weeks. I think they're hiding underground."
Rumors say the Council is hoarding a private stockpile, which has only made the frenzy worse.
"I've been eating gnome brains for a week," said Grublina, a student who says her grades have soared. "I feel smarter, more focused, and my sense of smell has never been sharper."
"There is no evidence gnome brains do anything for cognition," warned Dr. Grunglebrain. "They may contain toxins that do the opposite, and there's a risk of developing a taste for garden gnomes."
Goblins are willing to risk it, even if it decimates the gnome population. GNN does not endorse eating gnome brains or exploiting vulnerable gnome communities. A healthy brain starts with a balanced diet and regular exercise, not a questionable snack.
