The Goblin Gaming Group has announced an event for next week in the repurposed Parliament House, called simply "Drag." It promises to be a spectacle of epic proportions. No one knows what it is, and goblins and humans alike are speculating.
The promotional material shows goblins in elaborate costumes, racing stripes and high-heeled boots. The tagline reads: "Drag: Where fashion meets fury and the only limit is your imagination (and the laws of physics)."
The ambiguity has started a debate. Fashion enthusiasts are sure it will be a runway show of the latest goblin couture. Motorsport fans expect a drag race with souped-up shopping carts and nitro-boosted wheelbarrows.
Both camps have taken to social media. "This is going to be the most fabulous event in goblin history," said a goblin posting photographs of a dress made from moss and beetle wings. "I've been practicing my drag racing for weeks," said a goblin gearhead, showing off a shopping cart with a flaming skull decal.
The Council of Elders, eager to profit from chaos, has said nothing about the event's nature. Grungle, the Group's former CEO, has added to the confusion with a cryptic message: "Drag is not what you think it is. It's so much more, and possibly less."
Anticipation is at a peak, and the event is expected to produce confusion, excitement and a few drag-related injuries.
